Doctors who have examined 11 victims who have been released from the US Concentration Camp and Torture Facility at Guantanamo Bay have found that each of the 11 former torture victims has suffered permanent harm from the illegal, immoral, and unjust war crimes ordered by Our Glorious Christian Leader. “The evaluations provide evidence of violation of criminal laws prohibiting torture and of the commission of war crimes by U.S. personnel,” said the report by the Cambridge, Mass.-based Physicians for Human Rights.

Also on Wednesday, three former U.S. interrogators told a seminar that abusive techniques were counterproductive and urged that they be banned. “These coercive techniques are not working,” Joe Navarro, a former senior FBI interrogator, said at an event hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies and Human Rights First.

Numerous investigations have found that these war crimes were a result of direct orders from Our Glorious Christian Leader.

An investigation by the Senate Armed Services Committee, now partly concluded, already has gone a long way toward explaining the decision to place the United States among the world’s pariah states. In a statement delivered Tuesday, committee Chairman Carl M. Levin (D-Mich.) said: “Some have suggested that detainee abuses committed by U.S. personnel at Abu Ghraib in Iraq and at Guantanamo were the result of a ‘few bad apples’ acting on their own. It would be a lot easier to accept if that were true.” In fact, Levin said, senior U.S. officials “sought out information on aggressive [interrogation] techniques, twisted the law to create the appearance of their legality and authorized their use against detainees.”

We first reported on US torture of prisoners of war in January 2005, three and a half years ago when firms associated with the Party of Jesus were exposed for conducting torture as proxies for the US government. These firms committing war crimes were rewarded with bigger contracts.

The Governor of Oklahoma, Brad Henry, has vetoed a bill co-sponsored by batshit-crazy Sally Kern (Party of Jesus) that would have exempted students from any hate speech restrictions as long as they claimed their hatred was based on some Imaginary Bearded Sky Daddy.

Mrs Kern wanted children suffering from religious delusions to have Special Rights™ to engage in hate speech as long as they used Jeebus as their excuse. This would sort of make a million little Sally Kerns in the Oklahoma public school system.

There is no truth to the rumor that Sally has prepared a little notebook for public school kids filled with lies and slander that can be used against their gay and lesbian classmates.

Ever since Pat Buchanan famously declared war on homosexuals at the 1992 Republican Convention, the Party of Jesus has been riding the homophobia highway. In 2004, when dissatisfaction with our illegal war in Iraq threatened the career of George Warcriminal Bush, Karl Rove successfully played the gay marriage card to win the presidential election. Times change though, and so do the sentiments of voters.

Laws and ballot initiatives designed to identify gays and lesbians as a special class of people subject to religious persecution are nearly the central theme of Party of Jesus dogma. But over time citizens of California have begun to notice that their gay-couple neighbors mow their lawns, take out the trash, and wear fabulous clothes. The dire threat of gay marriage has failed to materialize into any harm to individuals or society as a whole. Recent polls have shown that in California a majority now favors gay marriage. But what about the Sanctity of Bigotry?

With the Party of Jesus 100% behind every bigotry-promoting ballot initiative anywhere in the nation, and with fear and hatred of equal rights such a core value of the Party of Jesus platform, it seems the PoJ may be riding this ballot measure to a crushing defeat that will be so severe it may make the 2006 elections look like a picnic in the park. If the Fear of a Queer Planet dies, the Party of Jesus may just go with it. Not that we would mind, of course.
