Interfaith Alliance Plans Co-Ordinated Bigotry Support
In a desperate attempt to create Special Rights™ for Fundamentalists suffering from a wide range of religious delusions to decide who may and may not be married, plans have been made for one million lawn signs to be posted in California yards late in September supporting faith based anti-gay bigotry Proposition 8. Since this ballot measure would restrict existing civil rights and promote bigotry and intolerance, it is universally supported by Party of Jesus legislators.
(story)
The measure, which is certain to be defeated, would give Christians and persons suffering from other ludicrous religious delusions the right to dictate their farcical beliefs to all persons, even people not suffering from any religious delusions at all. By enshrining anti-gay measures directly into the Constitution of the State of California they hope to preserve the Sanctity of Bigotry, a primary tenet of Party of Jesus dogma.
Fundamentalists don’t seem to be able to grasp the concept that gay marriage is 100% optional. Just because people suffering from preposterous ancient superstitions have the legal right to marry a same sex partner, this does not indicate they are required to do so. People who do not like gay marriage are already free to not marry a same sex person. This ballot measure would not give anyone rights they do not have already, instead it would let bigots decide who may and may not have equal rights under the law.
Proponents of bigotry and intolerance in California have been receiving funds from out of state agitators who are not satisfied with just promoting bigotry in their own communities, but feel the need to export their intolerance as if they were some sort Islamic Mullahs dictating to the whole world.
By continuing to promote bigotry and intolerance, people suffering from religious delusions lay bare the hatred and intolerance that lies at the core of all monotheistic authoritarian religious delusions. This lesson is not lost on young people. Kids that have gay friends, gay classmates, gay parents, and or gay siblings see right through this last ditch effort to enshrine 15th century religious imperialism into the fundamental legal foundation of California. Not only will Proposition 8 fail, it will accelerate the decline of the Party of Jesus in California. Not that we mind.
